4/8/2024 0 Comments The interview with the vampireHe doesn’t have much of a presence in author Anne Rice’s later books, so we’ll see if the show will carry him over into other stories in a prominent role. While I really enjoyed Pitt’s take on the character, I’m ready for more Louis. It’s going to be really interesting to see if they change that character’s existing background of being a plantation owner into something entirely different in response to this casting choice. While I’ve really only seen Anderson’s work as Grey Worm in Game of Thrones, I’m glad a man of color has been cast. ![]() ![]() Jacob Anderson has been cast as Louis de Pointe du Lac. For those who haven’t read the books or watched the movie adaptation from 1994, Interview with the Vampire focuses on Louis, a vampire created in the 1700s, as he tells his entire life story to a reporter – from his turning into a vampire, his part in creating a child vampire, and his endless search to find meaning and purpose in his 200 years of (undead) life. The previous iteration of the character was played by Brad Pitt, who gave a very brooding performance as the long-suffering vampire.
